Over the years I have collected and catalogued a large selection of images from various sources including books, magazines, websites and social media, personal photo archives, and many more. The figures in this body of work were created from fragments of these images, and their compositions reference certain historical paintings motifs. This creates subjects that seem to be contextualised and somewhat recognisable, yet they passionately attempt to proclaim their own unique identities, despite our pre-conceived notions. This process examines how we impose identities upon others, and subsequently challenges fashionable standards of beauty and sexualisation.
